10 injured as Bus, truck collide in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara: At least 10 passengers sustained injury as a private-run-bus collided head-on with a truck in Odisha’s Kendrapara district on Tuesday morning.

The mishap occurred on NH-5 near Tarini Chhak under Marshaghai police limits in the district.

The injured were rushed to Marshaghai hospital with the help of locals. They were later shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital here for better treatment.

According to reports, the private-run bus named as Shraya, bearing Regd No: OR 04 J 94 95, was on its way to Paradip from Cuttack and the truck, bearing Regd No: OR 04 L 0821, was coming from opposite direction.

The driver of the truck fled from the spot after the incident, locals said.

On being informed, Marshaghai police reached the spot and began investigation in this connection.
