10 feet long python rescued in Odisha’s Keonjhar district: Watch

Keonjhar: Another huge snake was rescued in Odisha. A 10 feet long python was rescued in Keonjhar district of Odisha on Tuesday. The reptile was found near Tentuliposhi village under Harichandanpur block of the district.

As per reports, the python was first spotted by the villagers in the nearby forest area. Witnessing such a huge snake they got frightened and immediately alerted the Forest Department about it.

Within no time the Forest officials reached the spot and rescued the snake. Upon observation it was seen that the python was about 10 feet long. Large number of people crowded the place to witness the huge snake.

Later, the forest officials reportedly released the snake at a lonely place in the nearby jungle.

It is to be noted that earlier this month a 12-feet-long python had been rescued in the same district. The snake which weighted 50 kg was injured as it had swallowed an animal that weighted about 20 to 25 kg for which it was not in a position to move. As per reports, the huge python was first spotted by the road side in Sinduria village in the Patakhali reserve forest area under Bimala forest section in Telkoi range of Keonjhar Forest Division.

Ahead of that another 12 feet long python had been spotted in September 13 in Kundurunala area in Joda under Barbil Forest range of the same district. The snake was spotted in the vegetable garden of one Raju Karua in the Suna River bank while it had got entangled in the net that had been fitted around the garden.
