Khallikote: A ten feet long King Cobra was found in a village in Ganjam district of Odisha on Tuesday. Snake helpline volunteers caught the snake and released it into deep forest.
As per reports, a ten feet long King Cobra was found in the house of one Dhanurdhar Mohanty in Gurujhuri village in Begunia pada area under Khallikote Forest range in the district. The snake was found hidden inside a hole in the house of Mohanty.
Panicked after witnessing the huge reptile the house owner and his neighbours called for the Snake helpline members. Swapnalok Mishra and Mihir Panda of Snake helpline reached the spot and caught the snake. They put it inside a large bag and later released it into the deep forest in presence of officers of the Forest Department.
