Sambalpur: In a shocking incident, a one-year-old baby boy was killed after falling into a pot of boiling water in Jaypurgarh village under Mahulpali police limits in Kuchinda of Sambalpur on Saturday.
The deceased identified as Sarthak Kar was playing in the terrace area at his house this morning when the incident took place. Somebody in the victim’s family had kept a big pot of water on a hearth to boil into which the baby accidentally slipped and turned critical.
While the baby was rushed to Kuchinda Sub Divisional Hospital in a critical condition, he succumbed there under treatment.
Kuchinda Police reached the hospital and sent the deceased for autopsy after lodging a case of unnatural death in connection with the mishap.
