Mayurbhanj: In a tragic road accident, one person lost his life while four have been injured. Meanwhile, five people have been critically injured after an auto rickshaw rammed into a tree in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj.
The accident took place near Laxmiposhi village, under Thakurmunda police station. The deceased auto rickshaw driver has been identified as Kirtan Mahant who died on spot and the injured ones were taken to Thakurmunda Community Health Centre for immediate treatment.
Reportedly, a family was returning from Simdiha village of Mayurbhanj via auto, when the vehicle lost balance and collided with a Sal tree.
Fire Department personnel reached the accident spot to rescue the victims. On the other hand, the Thakurmunda police station has launched an investigation on the matter.
