Berhampur: A minor boy was killed while three of his family members were injured after concrete chunks fell from ceiling of their house at Punanda village under Shergada block in Ganjam district on Tuesday night.
One Simanchal Nayak was sleeping in his house along with his wife and two sons in the night yesterday. Unfortunately, concrete chunks from ceiling of the house fell on them at around 2 AM killing Nayak’s younger son on the spot.
Simanchal, his wife and elder son who sustained injuries on different parts of their bodies have been admitted to Hinjli Community Health Centre.
BDO, tehsildar and the IIC of the local police station arrived on the spot after getting information about the incident from the locals and initiated a probe.
