Anandpur: At least one person was killed and three others sustained injuries as a trawler hit a car at Dhakotha Chhak on National Highway-20 in Keonjhar district last night.
The deceased duo has been identified as residents of Railway Colony of Rourkela.
As per the report, at least four persons of the colony had been to attend a marriage ceremony in a nearby village yesterday and were returning in a Maruti Swift Dezire car late in the night when the mishap took place.
The driver of a trawler which was travelling in the opposite direction drove extremely left on the road and ended up hitting the car from the front and leaving one dead and rest three hurt.
Ghasipura Police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy and admitted the injured into Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Two of the injured were shifted to SCB Medical later due to critical conditions.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to trace the trawler which managed to escape from the spot post the crash.
