Puri: 1 shot dead on Puri-Bhubaneswar National Highway. The man Purendra Behera is said to have died on the spot.
He is said to be a resident of Sakhigopal. According to sources, Purendra was working at a eatery near Sakhigopal square.
Yesterday a few people had gone to the said eatery for dinner.
An argument ensued between Purendra and the customers relating to the taste of the food.
The people reportedly went to another dhaba without paying.
Purendra and his coworkers followed these people to the other dhaba and asked for the payment.
The people there got angry and shot at Purendra.
He is said to have died on the spot. His relatives have demanded compensation from the government and blocked the Bhubaneswar-Puri NH by burning tyres.
The Satyabadi Police have reached the spot and are investigating into the matter.
