Jajpur: 1 person dead and a biker was injured in an accident at Jajpur district of Odisha. The accident occurred near Hanuman chowk under Jajpur police limits of Jajpur district.
The deceased is identified as Hemant Kumar Sahu of Barpada village. According to sources, Hemant had gone to attend nature’s call, early in the morning near the main road, in the meanwhile, a bike came from the opposite direction and hit him from behind.
Hemant died on the spot while the bike rider was badly injured. A few passersby noticed the bike rider bleeding badly and lying on the road. Hence the bike rider was rushed to the District headquarter hospital (DHH), Jajpur where he is undergoing treatment.
After being informed about the incident, the police rushed to the accident spot and has started an investigation into the matter, further details awaited.
