Bhanjanagar: In yet another road mishap in the State, a youth was killed and another sustained critical injury after a bike they were travelling by hit a roadside tree in Badakodanda village under Bhanjanagar police limits in Ganjam today.
The deceased has been identified as Sanuj Sahu of Charichhak area.
The mishap took place early in the morning today while Sanuj along with a friend was returning home after visiting ‘Danda Jatra’ which was being held in a nearby village. Sanuj who was riding the bike lost control over the wheels due to some reason and ended up hitting roadside tree.
While the bike got completely mangled in the crash both the riders sustained critical injury and were rushed to Bhanjanagar Hospital by some locals where doctors declared Sanuj dead.
Police have seized the mangled bike and rushed the body of the deceased for autopsy.
