Youth Brutally Attacked In Bhubaneswar, Condition Critical

Bhubaneswar:  A youth was brutally attacked by a group of armed miscreants here in Odisha late last night.

The victim,  identified as Akash Dora, has been admitted at a private hospital in the city. His condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in.

According to reports,  Akash was sitting along with his friends near the Kanakdurga Temple at Unit 9 area in the State capital last evening when a mob of 30-40 persons attacked him with sharp weapons.

Akash reportedly cried for help but the people present there remained mute spectators. He sustained severe injuries in his hands and legs.

On being informed, Sahid Nagar Police reached the spot and rescued Akash in a critical condition.  He was immediately rushed to a hospital for the treatment.

Though the police is yet to ascertain the reason behind the brutal attack on Akash, locals said that the attack was fall out allegedly over past enmity.

Meanwhile, the police have inspected the CCTV footage in the area to identify the culprits.
