World Cup 2019: West Indies to meet South Africa today

New Delhi: After losing all three encounters in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019,  West Indies will meet South Africa at Rose Bowl in Southampton. The match is scheduled to start at 3 pm (IST).

South Africa and two-time world champion West Indies have met each other a total of six times in previous World Cup encounters; with the former leading with 4-2.

The shaken Proteas will be coming down with a desperate need of a win as they lock horns with the Carribeans. The former are well behind the leading pack and a defeat against the latter will surely end their World Cup hopes.

With three defeats in as many games, South Africa are standing on the verge of exiting the competition at the group stage. West Indies, on the other hand, are slightly better placed than their competitor today with one win and one loss.

With so much at stake in the game, both the teams would love to have a rain-free game. However, weather predictions are suggesting otherwise. According to AccuWeather, the chances of rainfall of more than 50 per cent when the game gets underway.
