If Bumrah manages a 5-wicket haul today then he would become joint 6th fastest to 100 wickets overall along with Trent Boult (56) and Mohammed Shami (56).
Meanwhile, Mustafe Murtaza and his men cannot be taken lightly. Bangladesh have been known to cause upset and turn upside down even the biggest teams. All-rounder Shakib Al Hassan and veteran Mushfiqur Rahim are the team’s strengths. Their only major area of concern is the fielding and inability to control run flow.
Coming to statistics, this is a must-win match for Bangladesh and also the next with Pakistan. If they end with better run-rate they have a fair chance for a semi-final berth. India also has two matches- one with Bangladesh today and next with West Indies. They need one win for a confirmed berth.
