World Cup 2019: Australia to take on Sri Lanka today

New Delhi: Defending champions Australia take on a battered Sri Lanka in match number 20 of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 at the Kennington Oval in London. The match will start at 3 pm (IST).

Australia made up for the loss against India with a convincing win over Pakistan and will want nothing less than two points from the game against Sri Lanka who seem out on confidence. With rains washing out matches, the two points will be much-needed ones for the Aussies.

Meanwhile, with one win (against Afghanistan) and two washouts, Sri Lanka would want to win this to make a leap in the points table. With lack of any rain today, the Islanders will be looking for a win today.

One-time winner Sri Lanka stand fifth, whereas the five-time winners Australians are placed second with three wins from four games.

Squads

Australia: Aaron Finch(c), David Warner, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Alex Carey(w), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, Adam Zampa, Nathan Lyon
