Windies Tests an opportunity for young players: Ajinkya Rahane

Rajkot: The upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies will be an opportunity for the young players to prove their credibility and express themselves freely on the field, said Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane today.

“The series is an opportunity for each and every individual particularly for the guys who are coming in like Prithvi (Shaw), Mayank (Agarwal) and (Mohammed) Siraj as they have all done well in domestic matches for India A,” Rahane said while addressing a press conference.

“There is no pressure at all. It is all about going there and expressing yourself. Give your best and have fun,” added the Indian vice-captain.

India and West Indies will play the first Test at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot from October 4, followed by the second Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad from October 12.
