Shikhar Dhawan is again creating a buzz, this time with his alleged girlfriend Sophie Shine. The ex-Indian cricketer recently posted an Instagram reel with the Irish product consultant, which went viral. The short clip has the two sharing quality time together, leaving people wondering about their relationship.
Shikhar’s affair with Sophie has been in the news ever since they were seen together during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. There was no identification of the enigmatic woman, but it quickly emerged that she was Sophie Shine, a highly successful professional and marketing and management background.
Sophie is a graduate of the Limerick Institute of Technology and has studied before at Castleroy College in Ireland. She is presently working as the Second Vice President for the Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The cricketing world is in a tizzy with Shikhar’s recent retirement news. On August 24, he said goodbye to all types of cricket, ending an illustrious career that had lasted 269 international games and 10867 runs at a strike rate of 40.39. Shikhar’s career tally includes 24 centuries and 55 half-centuries.
When questioned about his love life, Shikhar said that he has moved on and learned from the past. “Yes, I have moved on. I wouldn’t say I was unlucky in love, rather, my choices came from inexperience. But now, I have experience, and that will come in handy,” he said. He further added, “I am always in love!”
As Shikhar starts this new chapter, fans await what’s in the pipeline for the star cricketer and his alleged girlfriend Sophie Shine. With their on-screen chemistry evident in the Instagram clip, one could well say that their relationship has drawn a lot of attention.
