Team India to land in Delhi on July 4, likely to depart from Barbados on special flight today

Team India’s departure from Barbados and arrival in Delhi has been further delayed amidst the Hurricane Beryl threat. Earlier, it was reported that the Blue team was expected to leave Barbados by 6 PM local time on Tuesday and reach Delhi by Wednesday evening.

However, as per media reports, the team will arrive in Delhi on  early hours of Thursday (July 4) morning. The team is stuck in the island nation due to Hurricane Beryl.

As per the latest updates given by the Reuters, the Hurricane is slowly heading towards Jamaica and sending a warning across Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

The hurricane was upgraded to a category four on Monday, bringing life-threatening winds and storm lashed Barbados and nearby islands.

It is worth mentioning here that India created history by defeating South Africa in the do-or-die final match and bringing back the World Cup after 17 years. India had last won the T20 World Cup in 2007 under the captainship of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. With this win, Indian Captain Rohit Sharma has ended India’s drought for an International trophy.
