Sydney Test: Pujara hits century; India 303/4 at stumps on Day 1

Sydney: India were 303 for 4 against Australia at stumps on the first day of the fourth and final Cricket test here on Thursday.

Cheteshwar Pujara (130*) and Hanuma Vihari (39*) were in the crease today. Pujara scored his 18th Test hundred, third in the ongoing Test series.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Opener Mayank Agarwal made a fearless 112-ball 77, while KL Rahul (9), Virat Kohli (23) and Ajinkya Rahane (18) returned to pavilion early.

For Australia, Hazlewood took two wickets while Starc and Lyon shared one wicket each.

Leading 2-1 in the four-match series, India have already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after victory in Melbourne.
