Sultan Azlan Shah Cup: India tame Poland 10-0

Ipoh: India defeated Poland 10-0 in their final league match of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament here in Malaysia on Friday.

Already assured of a summit clash against Korea to be played on Saturday, the Indians scored goals almost at will which left the Polish players in daze.

Captain Mandeep Singh continued his prolific form by scoring two goals in the match. Varun Kumar also netted goals. Other goals from Surender Kumar, Amit Rohidas, Vivek Prasad, Sumit Kumar, Simranjeet Singh and Nilkanta Sharma.

India remained unbeaten in the group stage encounter with four wins and a draw, leading the six-team league table with 13 points and a goal-difference of 18 in the prestigious tournament.
