Sourav Ganguly buys new house worth around Rs 40 crore, likely to leave paternal house where he lived for 48 years

Kolkata: Fondly known as Prince of Calcutta and Maharaj, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is a proud owner of a 2 BHK apartment in North Harrow, London. But this is the first time that he has bought a home in Kolkata. His new address will be 8/1A Lower Rawdon Street.

The two major benefits which Ganguly would be getting after purchasing the new house which is 23.6-cottah plot with a two-storey building are that it is in the City of Calcutta and Lower Rawdon Street is a very calm and green area.

The former Indian Captain, meanwhile, expressed his happiness over owning a house which is worth around Rs 40 Crore but became emotional for leaving his paternal house on Biren Roy Road in Behala. Speaking about his new house, he said, “Along with my family members, I am happy to have my own home. Living centrally will also be convenient but it is a bit hard to leave a place where I have been living for 48 years.”
