Rishabh Pant’s fans show support in Sydney Test Match

Sydney: Indian Test team’s wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant seems to be at the centre of the limelight currently. Last match’s sledging fest in between Pant and Tim Paine garnered a lot of attention. Pant let his bat do the talking and with 165* in India’s 1st innings.

Bharat Army is the Team India’s self-asserted No. 1 fans. They are known to support Indian team no matter where they are playing. The Army is known to be loud and unabashed in showing their support.

The Army decided to support Pant in a unique way- they sang with the drum beats. And the lyrics were:

Not just that his ‘backflipping’ skills seem to have gained some attention too. Local Australian sports channel Fox Cricket posted a video on Instagram. The commentators can be heard in the background too. They seem to be having fun watching Pant amaze everyone with his bat. But when he backflipped during a drinks break, the commentators simply loved this young talented lad. Here’s the Instagram post:


Paine and Pant exchanged some words during Boxing Day Test match. Later, Paine’s wife Bonnie Maggs had turned Paine’s sledge into a fun comment. ICC too joined the fun and lightened the moment.

As fans we await for such fun moments amidst serious cricket.
