Rishabh Pant expresses gratitude to two men who rescued his life with special gift, wins hearts

New Delhi: Rishabh Pant has expressed gratitude to two men, who rescued him after a horrific car accident in 2022, with special gifts. The superstar wicket keeper-batter of the Indian cricket team has gifted his rescuers with two scooters.

The batter got into a horrific car accident while traveling to his hometown in Roorkee on December 30, 2022. His car collided with a divider and caught fire after the car accident. The two men came to his rescued and retrieved from the burning vehicle and called an ambulance, ultimately saving his life.

Though, pant received a ligament tear in Pant’s right knee and cuts on his forehead, his life was saved. So, the 26-year-old cricketer thanked the two men with the gift. He also took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt note for the two men.

The two men Rajat and Nishu, revealed that the scooters had Pant’s name imprinted on them.

The accident also caused the cricketer to remain absent from competitive cricket for over a year. However, he persisted with his efforts and made a remarkable return to cricket in the 2024 IPL and become the star player with incredible performance for his team. Later he was also selected for the Indian T20 World Cup squad and helped the team win. He then made successful returns to ODI and Test cricket.

He also returned to test  cricket with a century against Bangladesh and strong performances in the series against New Zealand.

Currently, he is playing the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Perth against Australia. In Day 2 of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India is in the lead with a 218-run.
