Odia girl Pratyasha bags silver in swimming

Bhubaneswar: Odia swimmer Pratyasha Ray bagged silver in the Under-17 girls 200-meter backstroke event in the ongoing 64th national school games swimming championship at the Talkorta stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. She completed her target within 2.34:79 minutes.

While she will also participate in the 100 meters and 50-meter backstroke event in the championship to be held on 18 and 19 respectively her fans expect her to succeed in these events as well.

Pratyasha had won two golds and a silver medal in the South Asian Aquatic Championship (SAAC) – 2016 held at Colombo, Sri Lanka. She holds the title as the first Odia swimmer.

In the same year, she had won three gold medals in the girls (thirteen- fourteen years category) at the 43rd Junior National Aquatic Championship held in Bengaluru.
