New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated the medal winners of the recently-concluded 18th edition of the Asian Games on Wednesday.
The Modi congratulated the winners and complimented them for their outstanding performances which helped India record its best-ever ever medal tally at the continental event. Besides, he urged them to use technology as an aid to improve their performance.
The Prime Minister also said sportspersons should continue improving by using technology-aided critical analysis of their performance as well as those of top players in the world.
The players present at the ceremony expressed happiness over being felicitated and appreciated the government initiatives in the field of sports.
Union Sports Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Home Minister and other dignitaries were present during the felicitation ceremony.
Notably, India pocketed a total of 69 medals in the prestigious quadrennial tournament- 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze.
