Perth Test: Virat Kohli hits his 25th Test Century, equals Tendulkar’s record in Australia

Perth: By adding another feather to his hat today, Indian skipper Virat Kohli hit his 25th Test Century here against the host Australia in the 2nd Test, while leading the Indian fightback.

With attaining the landmark of 25th ton Kohli has also equalled master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most Test centuries by an Indian Down Under. Kohli reached his hundred in 214 deliveries.

Earlier in the day, the India skipper started batting from his 82 unbeaten and took 12 overs to reach the three-figure marks shaping as the major stumbling block for Australia in the 3rd day of the Test today. With his magnificent batting prowess, Kohli played shots all around the ground at the Optus Stadium and entertained the crowd.

Australia has put up a formidable total of 326 in its first innings for India to chase and its bowlers have been seen in attacking mode since the beginning of the Indian batting. At a stage, India tottered at 8/2 but since then Kohli along with Hanuman Vihari. Vihari also gave a good partnership to Kohli yesterday.
