Perth: Third day of the second test saw a lot of action. India were all out for 283 runs. Aussies came in to bat for their second innings. They had put 132/4 on board by the end on the day. Australians were leading by 175 runs and 6 wickets.

The event of the day was Indian captain Virat Kohli’s 25th Test century. He equalled master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record of highest centuries in Australia.

Team India was chasing a mammoth score of 326. Kohli and Rahane were leading the attack on the hosts. Kohli’s wicket was taken by Cummins. He got out at 123. Rahane scored 51. Rest of the team just tumbled, with just Pant scoring a manageable 36.

Team Australia came out to bat for their second innings. They put 132 runs on board with loss of 4 wickets.

Aussie opener Harris was gone too soon at 20. Finch injured his right index finger on Shami’s ball. He may not play on Day 4. Last men standing were Khawaja(41*) and captain Paine(8*).
