Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday congratulated India women’s rugby team for creating history with their first ever international 15s victory.
The Chief Minister took the Twitter route to congratulate the team India.

India claimed its first ever international women’s 15s victory with a 21-19 win over Singapore in the Asia Rugby Women’s Championship Division 1 in Manila today.
Sumitra Nayak, who hails from Jajpur district in Odisha, kicked a penalty in the death to claim a narrow victory for the girls in blue.
With this win India finished third in the tournament, claiming a bronze medal.
The Championship Division 1 will double up as part of the qualification process for the Rugby World Cup 2021.
