Odisha CM congratulates Pramod Bhagat for winning two Golds at Bahrain Para Badminton International

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated State’s ace para athlete Pramod Bhagat for winning two gold medals at the Bahrain Para Badminton International in Manama.

“Congratulate #Odisha’s para shuttlers @PramodBhagat83 on clinching #Gold medals in men’s singles & mixed doubles and Deep Ranjan Bisoyee on winning #Bronze in men’s doubles at Bahrain Para Badminton Int’l in #Manama. May you continue to make Odisha and the entire nation proud,” said Patnaik on his Twitter handle.


Pramod Bhagat won the gold medals in both men’s singles and mixed doubles (with partner Manisha Ramdass) yesterday. He received a walkover from arch-rival Daniel Bethell of England in the men’s singles SL3 final. Later, he paired up with Manisha Ramdass to play the mixed doubles against Thailand’s Siripong Teamarrom and Saensupa Nipada. The Pramod-Manisha pair won the summit class of mixed doubles SL3-SU5 class 21-14, 21-11.
