Odia skipper led Hong Kong to take on India in Asia Cup today

Dubai: The Anshuman Rath led Hong Kong will take on defending champions India in a Group A match of the Asia Cup here on Tuesday.

20-year-old Rath, with roots in Odisha, has an experience of 17 ODIs. He said, the Asia Cup will be a learning experience for their team.

“For us, all it is a fantastic experience to see how a top team operates. Especially, since we haven’t played that much against the top five sides. It’s good to see how they go about their things and hopefully our boys will pick up some lessons from them,” Rath said.

India led by Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, will not make a mistake by taking Hong Kong lightly and make a positive start to its Asia Cup campaign in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli.
