Kuldeep Yadav Hat-trickKolkata: Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav became the third Indian after Chetan Sharma (1987) and Kapil Dev (1991) to take a hat-trick in ODI cricket, as India beat Australia by 50 runs to take 2-0 lead in the series.

Kuldeep claimed the wickets of Wade, Agar and Cummins in his 8th over to achieve the feat.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first. They bowled out for 252 in 50 overs. Kohli was the top scorer with 92. Rahane scored 55. Nathan Coulter-Nile and Kane Richardson took 3 wickets each.

Chasing a victory target of 253, Australia kept losing wickets at regular intervals and bowled out for 202 in 43.1 overs and lost the match by 50 runs.

Steven Smith 59 and Stoinis 62* were the top scorers. Head contributed 39. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each. Pandya and Chahal took 2 wickets each.
