KISS student to represent India in Asia Rugby U-17 Rugby Sevens meet

Bhubaneswar: Narasing Marndi, a student of KISS, has been selected to represent India in the Asia Rugby U-17 Sevens Championship.

The Plus Two second year Arts student will represent the country in the Championship slated to be held on 9th and 10th September, 2017 in Taipei, the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) said.

The other players who have been picked by the IRFU for the Rugby Championship are Chaitanya Motwane (Maharashtra) Pankaj Dagar (Delhi), Daryush Kapadia (Maharashtra), Siddhant Mehta (Maharashtra), Pankaj Singh (Maharashtra), Abhishek Yadav (Maharashtra).

The players were selected at the training and selection camp that was held at Bombay Gymkhana Grounds, Mumbai from 24th August.

The team will be departing for Taipei on 7th September to participate in the tournament, which will serve as the Qualifier for the Youth Olympic Games, 2018.
