KIIT student Sneha Soren wins Gold in All India Inter University Weightlifting Championship
Bhubaneswar: Bringing laurels to the State KIIT University Student Sneha Soren won Gold Medal (49 Kg) in All India Inter University Weightlifting (Women) Championship & Qualifies for Khelo India University Games.
The All India Inter University Weightlifting (Women) Championship 2021-22 is being held at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (A.P) from 27th – 30th December 2021.
In the opening day of the championship Ms. Sneha Soren from KIIT University won the Gold Medal in the 49 Kg weight category. She lifted a total of 166 Kg (Snatch – 73 Kg and Clean & Jerk 93 Kg) to clinch the 1st position. Sneha is currently training in the National Camp at NSNIS, Patiala.
Sneha thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta for his constant guidance & support. Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS & Member of Parliament Kandhamal congratulated Sneha for her excellent performance on winning the Gold Medal and also qualifying to the Khelo India University Games. He also conveyed his best wishes for her future competitions.
