Mumbai: India’s Ravindra Jadeja has edged out Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan to claim the top rank among all-rounders in the latest ICC Test match rankings announced on Tuesday evening following the conclusion of England’s series win over South Africa.
Currently, Jadeja has 438 points among the all-rounders while Shakib has 431 points.
Jadeja’s knock of 70 unbeaten and the seven-wicket haul in the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo were key performances to take him to the top spot in the all-rounders category for the first time.
The Indian cricketer also maintains the top position in the bowlers’ chart in the ICC Test match rankings.
Jadeja took to social media to attribute his success to former captain MS Dhoni and current captain Virat Kohli and thanked his fans, family and BCCI for their continuous support.
