ISSF World Championship: Elavenil Valarivan, Shreya Aggarwal get medals in 10m Air Rifle

Changwon (South Korea): Elavenil Valarivan and Shreya Aggarwal gave India two medals, one silver and one bronze, in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Junior event at the ongoing International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Championship here today.

While Valarivan with a point tally of 249.8 won the silver medal, Aggarwal clinched the bronze medal with a total of 228.4 points. Mengyao Shi of China got the gold medal with a score of 250.5 points.

Hriday Hazarika was the other Indian player who had clinched the gold in Men’s 10m Air Rifle Junior event with 250.1 points in his scoreline earlier today.

Likewise, 2018 Asian Games champion Saurabh Chaudhary had won a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Junior event on Thursday. Besides, he had set a new world record with a total point tally of 245.5.
