IPL Auction: Sachin’s Son Arjun Tendulkar Makes it to Mumbai Indians

The Mukesh  Ambani-owned Mumbai Indians (MI) ropes in Junior Tendulkar, the legend’s son Arjun for his base price of 20 lakh in the IPL auction in Chennai.

The 21-year-old left-arm pacer was enlisted for the first time in the auction.

Mumbai Indians posted a tweet welcoming Arjun Tendulkar as “Cricket in his blood, Refined in the net. Now ready to take the 22 yards with a storm. Welcome, Home Arjun Tendulkar!”  adding it with the caption #onefamily.

“Since childhood, I have always been a die-hard fan of Mumbai Indians, I would like to thank Coaches, owner and support staff for keeping faith in me, and I am excited to join the MI team. Arjun said in a video posted by the Twitter handle of Mumbai Indian.

In the Indian Premier League, five-times champion Mumbai Indians picked up Arjun Tendulkar, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jimmy Neesham, Piyusha Chawala, Yaduvir Charak and Marco Jansen. They picked Arjun for Rs. 20 lakhs.
