IPL Auction 2022: Chennai Supper Kings buy Odisha’s Subhranshu Senapati

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Subhranshu Senapati became the first cricketer from the State to be sold during this year’s IPL Auction on Sunday.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought Odisha Ranji Captain Subhranshu Senapati for Rs 20 lakh on the second day of the IPL 2022 mega auction. His base price was Rs 20 lakh and CSK bought him at the same price only.

With this, Subhranshu Senapati became the third cricketer from Odisha to be bought by the IPL franchises. Earlier, Biplab Samantray and Haladhar Das from the State have played the league for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers, respectively.
