IPL 2024: Yashasvi Jaiswal’s century helps Rajasthan Royals win against Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets

In yesterday’s match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 played at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Rajasthan, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by nine wickets.

Briefing about the match, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bat first against the RR team. Batting first, MI made 179 runs losing nine wickets. Of which, Tilak Varma hit 65 runs, Nehal Wadhera made 49 runs and Mohammad Nabi made 27 runs. While, from RR’s side, Sandeep Sharma dropped five wickets, Trent Boult took two wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal dropped one wicket.

Chasing the target of 180 runs, RR hit 183 runs losing one wickets and eight balls were left. Of which Yashasvi Jaiswal clinched 104 runs (not out), Sanju Samson made 38 runs (not out) and Jos Buttler made 35 runs. From MI’s side Piyush Chawla took one wicket.

Speaking about the points table, Rajasthan Royals are on the first position with seven wins and one loss, while Mumbai Indians are on seventh position with three wins and five loses.

Today, Chennai Super Kings will clash with Lucknow Super Giants at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match will begin at 7.30 pm.
