IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeat Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets in yesterday’s match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match was being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Briefing the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first against the Super Kings. Batting first, Chennai Super Kings gave a target of 166 runs to SRH. Of 165 total, Shivam Dube made 42 runs, Ajinkya Rahane hit 35 runs and Ravindra Jadeja made 31 runs (not out). From SRH’s side, Shahbaz Ahmed, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins took one wicket each.

Chasing the victory target, SRH made 166 runs losing four wickets. Of which Aiden Markram made 50 runs, while Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head hit 37 runs and 31 runs respectively. From CSK’s side, Moeen Ali took two wickets while Maheesh Theekshana and Deepak Chahar took one wicket each.

This was the second defeat for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024. Speaking about IPL 2024 point table, Chennai Super Kings stand at third position with 2 wins and 2 losses, meanwhile Sunrisers Hyderabad is at 5th position with 2 wins and 2 losses. Kolkata Knight Riders is at the top of the table followed by Rajasthan Royals.

Today, Rajasthan Royals is going to clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Rajasthan at 7.30 pm.
