India vs West Indies 5th ODI: West Indies win toss, opt to bat first

Thiruvananthapuram: West Indies won the toss and opted to bat against India in the final One Day International of the 5-match series at the Greenfield International Stadium here in Kerala on Thursday.

The visiting team made two changes as Devendra Bishoo came in for injured Ashley Nurse and pacer Oshane Thomas replaced opening batsman Chandrapaul Hemraj. On the other hand, the men-in-blue were unchanged today.

India are leading the series, 2-1. The Kohli-led team had won the first ODI by 8 wickets before the second match ended in a thrilling tie. The Windies had clinched the third game by 43 runs. Team India again took the lead with a 224-run victory in the fourth one dayer.

After the ODI series, both countries will play three Twenty-20 matches. The first T-20 will be played in Kolkata on Sunday, followed by Lucknow on the 6th and Chennai on the 11th of this month.

As the last reports came in, the visiting team have scored 3 for 2 in first two overs. Both K Powell and S Hope have gone for golden duck while Bhubaneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah shared one wicket each.
