India Vs West Indies, 1st Test : India post 297 in first innings

Antigua: India were bowled out for 297 in their first innings on the second day of the first Test at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium here today.

The visiting team started the day on 203 for 6, but Rishabh Pant (24) fell in the day’s third over to Kemar Roach.

However, Ravindra Jadeja (58) and Ishant Sharma (19) built a solid partnership, putting on a 60-run eighth-wicket stand helping India post a competitive first innings total on the board. Jadeja scored his 11th Test fifty.

Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane (81) and KL Rahul (44) anchored India’s revival to 203 for six on the opening day of the match, a part of the World Test Championship.

For West Indies, Kemar Roach scalped four wickets, while Shannon Gabriel got three wickets.
