India vs New Zealand 3rd Test Day 3: Ajaz Patel takes out Rishabh Pant for 64
Mumbai: India continued its game against New Zealand on day 3 of of the final Test at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. India aims to get a consolation victory to avoid an embarrassing 3-0 series whitewash against New Zealand.
However, it seems the hope is slim as star batter Rishabh Pant has been dismissed for 64 by Ajaz Patel, who completed his five-wicket haul with this wicket. After the departure of Pant, Ravichandran Ashwin got down to the field to accompany Washington Sundar.
Now, India eyes a stable partnership in the chase of 147 against New Zealand. On the other hand, the Kiwi bowlers are aiming for some quick wickets, in order to sweep the series.
Ravindra Jadeja completed his 10-wicket haul as India bundled out New Zealand for 174 on Day 3 of the third Test in Mumbai.
Resuming the day from 171/9, Jadeja struck within few minutes and removed Ajaz Patel as India now need a total of 147 runs to win the match. With five wickets in the first innings, Jadeja scalped five more in the second to register the big feat.
The performance of Indian players has remained lackluster through out the series.
