India Vs Australia, 2nd Test In Perth: Match Highlights
By the end of the second day of Second Test India trail by 154 runs after loss of 3 wickets
Perth: Indian captain Virat Kohli(82*) and Ajinkya Rahane(51*) lead the attack. By the end of the day today India was 172/3 in 69.0 overs.
By the end of the play, yesterday Aussies were 277/6. Captain and wicketkeeper Tim Paine and Pat Cummins were not out at 16 and 11 respectively.
The hosts lost quick wickets today. Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets of Hazelwood and Starc. Paine got out on LBW by Bumrah. Umesh Yadav took Pat Cummins. The Kangaroos ended their first innings with 326.
Team India came to bat next. But the team lost both of its openers too soon. L. Rahul was out for mere 2 and Murali Vijay was gone without any runs on board.
Cheteswar Pujara lent support to captain Kohli for a while but was out at 24.
Rahane joined Kohli in his attack. Both of them scored half-centuries back to back. By the end of the 2nd day’s match, Kohli was not out at 82 and Rahane was at 51.
India will resume the third day trailing the hosts by 154 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara (24) was the only wicket to fall on the final session.
