India makes fastest 50 And 100 run in test history; Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal shine

Kanpur: India has broke its own record and set the fastest 50 And 100-run mark in the Test cricket history. India put the record with the smashing hits of opening batters Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the match against Bangladesh on Day 4 of the second Test in Kanpur.

In the test match, Bangladesh was out for 233 runs in the first innings. When the Indian players entered the ground, they started their attack with a smashing hit on the first bowl, puting the bowlers in a shock.

The duo managed to gather 50-run in just three overs with mostly fours and sixes. It was the first instance of a team scoring 50 runs inside the first three overs in Test cricket history since data collection began in the sport. They scored 100 runs in just 10.1 overs.

Earlier, Indian team broke the fastest 50 test run record in just 18 balls that was being held by England who scored fastest fifty in Test cricket in 26 balls. England had created the record against West Indies earlier this year at Trent Bridge. Interestingly, India set the record in a match against England in Chennai back in 2008. The Indian team had reached the 50-run mark in 5.2 overs in that match.
