ICC World Cup: Australia set victory target of 308 runs for Pakistan

Taunton: Australia set a victory target of 308 runs for Pakistan in a match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup at County Ground here in England on Wednesday.

Put to bat first, the Kangaroos were bundled out for 307 in 49 overs.  While David Warner scored a superb 107 off 111 balls, Captain Aaron Finch made 82 facing 84 deliveries. Other batsmen played cameos but fell cheaply

For Pakistan, Mohammad Amir single-handedly took his team back into the game, claiming five wickets.

Shaheen Shah Afridi got two wickets, while Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riazone and Hasan Ali took one wicket each.

Chasing the victory target, Pakistan were 18 for one in five overs with Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam occupying the crease, when the news was filed.

Today, Australia left out spinner Adma Zampa and replaced him with fast bowler Kane Richardson while Shaun Marsh came in for injured Ma, cus Stoinis. Pakistan included paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi, leaving out leg-spinner Shadab Khan.
