ICC World Cup 2019:  India post 352/ 5 against Australia

London: Opener Shikhar Dhawan smashed his 17th ODI century while fellow opener Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli hit half-centuries as India posted a mammoth 352-5  in stipulated 50 overs against Australia in an ICC World Cup match at the Oval here on Sunday.

Dhawan scored 117 runs off 109 balls, while Rohit Sharma made 57 runs, making a solid 127 runs opening partnership for India.

Captain Virat Kohli made 82 runs off 77 balls while Hardik Pandya made a quick-fire 48 off only 27 balls.

MS Dhoni and KL Rahul also played useful innings scoring 27 (14) and 11* (3) respectively.

For Australia, Stoinis took 2 wickets in the 50th over, while Cummins, Starc and Coulter-Nile scalped one wicket each.

Earlier India won the toss and opted to bat first. India began their World Cup campaign with a comprehensive six-wicket win over South Africa on June 5.
