Hockey World Cup: Argentina beat New Zealand 3-0, enter in quarter-finals
Bhubaneswar: Rio Olympics Gold medallists Argentina beat New Zealand 3-0 in a Pool-A match of the ongoing Men’s Hockey World Cup at Kalinga stadium here in Odisha this evening.
Agustin Mazzilli, Lucas Martinez and Lucas Vila scored one goal each for the winning team.
With this win, Argentina registered a place in the quarter-finals of the mega event.
Argentina’s Lucas Vila was adjudged as player of the match.
In the first match of today, Spain and France played out a 1-1 draw in their second Group-A clash at the same venue here.
The draw kept both the teams in the hunt for the knock-out round with one point apiece from two games.
