Hitman Rohit Sharma eats a speck of soil from pitch after India won T20 World Cup, Watch

Team India’s captain and star cricket Rohit Sharma marked his last appearance in the T20 Internationals with the World Cup triumph. He led the Blue team to a thrilling seven-run win over South Africa in the final match of the ICC T20 World Cup on Saturday.

After the match, Rohit Sharma went to the pitch and ate a speck of sand from the Kensington Oval pitch. Reportedly, he tried to make the moment memorable in a unique way, reminding of legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic. The moment has been shared by ICC on its official Instagram handle.

It is worth mentioning here that Novak Djokovic ate a strand of grass after one of his triumphs at the Wimbledon.

Earlier, another video of Rohit Sharma planting a kiss on the cheeks of Hardik Pandya after the match is going viral over the internet now. As per the viral video, the emotional all-rounder was speaking after the match when Rohit Sharma approached him and kissed on the cheek.

Notably, this was the last T20I match of Rohit Sharma as he announced retirement from it after the T20 World Cup success. Rohit made his T20I debut in the inaugural T20 World Cup, against England in Durban in 2007. He has so far played 159 matches for India, scoring 4231 runs.
