Bhubaneswar: India thrashed Uzbekistan 10-0 in the FIH Men’s Series Finals played at the Kalinga Stadium here in Odisha this evening.
Akashdeep Singh scored three goals, while Varun Kumar and Mandeep Singh netted two goals each. Amit Rohidas, Nilakantha Sharma and Gursahibjit Singh also scored one goal each for India.
Akash Deep Singh was declared man of the match for his hat-trick goals.
With this win India progressed to the semifinal after topping Pool A. USA is the other semifinalist from Pool B after holding Asian Games champion Japan to a 2-2 draw earlier in the day.
