FIH Series Finals: India beat South Africa 5-1, clinch title

Bhubaneswar: India defeated South Africa 5-1 in a summit clash of the FIH Men’s Series Finals at the iconic Kalinga Stadium here in Odisha on Saturday evening.

For India, Harmanpreet Singh and Varun Kumar scored two goals each, while, Vivek Sagar Prasad netted a goal. On the other hand, Richard Pautz scored the sole goal for the losing side.

India scored a total of 35 goals in the tournament in five matches and conceding just four.

Both the teams have sealed their places for the final round of Olympic qualifiers.
