Jamaica: The hurricane Gayle played the second fiddle while opener Evin Lewis tore into the Indian bowling attack to power the West Indies to a 9-wicket win in lone T20 match last night.
Batting first, India posted 190/6 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli 39, Rishabh Pant 38 and Dinesh Karthik 48 were the top scorers. For West Indies, Jerome Taylor and Kesrick Williams took two wickets each.
West Indies had no difficulty to chase the target. Evin Lewis hit an unbeaten 125 off 62 balls with 6 boundaries and 12 sixes. Marlon Samuels remained not out on 36.
Evin Lewis was the obvious choice to win ‘Player of the Match’ award.
